Kala Nivedanam School of South Indian Dance & Music
Nashville's longest-running Indian classical arts school, established in 1992 by Monica Cooley and Sankaran Mahadevan. Offers professional-level instruction in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music for students of all ages and backgrounds. The curriculum follows a traditional approach, beginning with a solid foundation in technique and culminating — for dedicated students — in an arangetram (formal debut performance). A founding institution of Nashville's South Asian cultural arts scene.
